Sustainable Management & Policy

Spearhead sustainability efforts

Organizations—now more than ever—need employees who know how to address sustainability issues and conserve the environment. With a major in Sustainable Management and Policy, youll learn how to develop and implement policies that help communities meet the needs of the present without compromising the future. The major is part of the BSPA degree, which will give you the flexibility of working in the public, private, or nonprofit sector.

The major will give you a strong public affairs foundation so that you have a practical understanding of economics, policy analysis, management, and urban policy. In your sustainability classes, youll examine the latest environmental topics from all angles and learn from industry experts and scholars.

Leave with a tangible skillset

All BSPA degrees require at least one internship, so that by the time you graduate from SPEA, you’ll have the experience and connections to boost your career. Thanks to SPEAs proximity to nonprofit organizations and government agencies in downtown Indianapolis, you can complete an internship during the semester and graduate on time.
