The core requirements of the MPA prepare you to enter or continue work in public service, no matter your area of focus. Each student must also complete the requirements of at least one concentration, and an experiential requirement that ensures each graduate of the MPA program has gained insight and experience outside the classroom.

Attend full time or part time

You can earn your degree in two to four years with full-time and part-time options. Coursework is offered in the evenings to allow students to work full-time and earn a degree.

Real-life, hands-on projects—not case studies

A graduate student discusses her Capstone project.

Capstone classes tackle projects that promote positive change in the community. Each class starts with a variety of local agencies that pitch their needs to SPEA MPA students, who work on the projects in groups.
