IHA Management Institute

In today’s healthcare environment, it’s not enough for managers to be skilled clinicians – they must also know how to effectively communicate, manage a team, and work with a range of generations and work styles.

For over 25 years, Executive Education has partnered with the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) to conduct the Management Institute specifically designed for managers in healthcare organizations. Through the guidance of experienced faculty and instructors, participants learn about the art of successful interviewing, sound financial management, conflict resolution, performance improvement, and more.

The 10-course program lasts approximately six months and takes place at IUPUI, right in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis.

Schedule and course descriptions

Classes meet every two to three weeks. You’ll hear presentations from healthcare, management, and human resources professionals. You’ll examine case studies from hospitals like yours and participate in simulations and self-assessments.

Executive Education and IHA have also partnered to form the Advanced Leadership Institute for executives in the healthcare field. More information about the curriculum and course schedule will be available soon.

Tuition is $2,095 per participant for 10 classes. The fee includes on-campus parking, course materials, refreshments, and lunch. If you successfully complete at least nine of the 10 classes, you’ll receive the designation of Certified Health Care Manager.
